It’s Attitude
I can’t say enough about my husband, Lee. He puts up with GBM like a warrior. This weekend we went to Oregon to visit his family and his father’s grave who recently passed away.
I know many people love their spouse. I am so thankful for Lee. He is compassionate, loving, giving, devoted, hard-working, and a provider. He is constantly thinking of ways to improve our home. I can’t imagine having brain cancer and working as hard as he does. If he is not working on our house, he is thinking about what is next. He takes time each day to spend time in God’s word. Right now He is at a Bible study...event though I know he is tired.
I think about those with GBM that are not doing as well as he is. I am thankful for his strong and positive attitude. I truly think it helps. He gives his all each day.
He wears Optune every days and strives to get as high of a percentage as he can. It’s interesting watching other people look at him. They have a lot of curiosity in their eyes. But Lee doesn’t mind. He strives on.
If you have GBM, hang tough. Don’t let it get the best of you. I know why they say it is a “war” on cancer. It really is a war. You have to stay strong. You have to stay positive. Because when you give in, it will overtake you.
Know God. Enjoy life. Live it fully for Him.
